Work Immersion: What is a Case Study?

 As the Bangkulasi Senior High School establish the Work Immersion proper, the Model D participants formulate their respective Case Study. A case study is an investigative context. It deals with a Case that needs to have a concrete and concise recommendation that has enough evidence. 

According to PressAcademia (2018), a case study is an analysis of companies decision. The policies, laws, or other important systems that are formulated by different methods are the main reason why case analysis is needed. 

For the Case Study analysis of the Bangkulasi Senior High School students, their task is to determine the problem and the concrete solution for the case study they have. There is certain information that is included in their Case Study. Those are the Executive Summary, Introduction or Background of the Case Study, SWOT Analysis, Alternative Courses of Action, Recommendation, and References or Bibliography. 

The Executive Summary is the information of the Case Study. The information included in the said part is the facts of the case, identified problem, and possible solution for the Case Study of every individual. This part also contains short but concise information that the readers needed to know regarding the whole Case Study document. It should be engaging and properly engage with the readers to avoid any unnecessary reactions.

Background of the Case Study is where the information of the subject needed to analyze is present in this part. The details are explained clearly to take into consideration the vocabulary knowledge of the readers. All the relevant aspect of the company is hereby presented in this part. It will ensure the availability of enough knowledge to both author and the reader to have the same pace of the Case Study. 

SWOT Analysis is also known as Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Strengths. In this part, the background of the company needed to focus upon is presented to the readers. It is essential to know and share the Advantages and Disadvantages of the companies to be analyzed completely. The information in this part should be honest and concise to come upon the right alternative courses of action and recommendation. 

The Alternative Courses of Action are the detailed courses of action that the company can use to overcome the problem they encounter. The author identifies the problem and those problems lead to the alternative courses of action presented in the case study. 

The recommendation is the vital part of the Case Study. The recommended action that is mentioned in this part is the best action that the company should adhere to overcome the problem that the author discovered. It should be supported by enough evidence to assist the company towards greater success. 

The latter part of the Case Study is the References or Bibliography. In this section, the author stated all the references that they needed. All the references are used to prove the actions and recommendations needed by the company. Proper citation should be used. 

A case study is one of the essential tools to challenge an individual towards analysis and research. It will create a huge impact on the students who created Case Studies. They can comprehend and discussed properly the information they needed to comply with.
